The Garden is a govermental research and plant conservation institution; under Indonesian Institute of Sciences/Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia-LIPI & part of the Botanic Gardens Conservation International-BGCI. This Garden is also famous as a tourist attraction near Bogor Presidential Palace).
